CETACEA OCTOBER 2015 TORONTO SHOWS

Cetacea will have three performances in Toronto this month. The first is tonight at Handlebar (156 Augusta) in Kensington Market for edition number 26 of the monthly Nite Comfort series curated by Aaron Dawson of Dirty Inputs & Off the International Radar. I have been working on new material and will be using the live performances as a way to develop it before recording. To coincide with each show there will be other recordings made available online via bandcamp and if circumstances remain favorable a limited cassette tape or two may manifest in time for one or both of the remaining two shows.

Currently available are copies of the Invocation Vol. 1 cassette compilation by the newly launched Fire In Heaven Records run by Jason Pollard of Invocation TO. Cetacea shares track space on this comp with a great cast of fellow Toronto musicians such as Black Walls, Loom, M. Mucci, Hexzuul and many others. I did the design and layout of the tape with some assistance from Stephen Wilson of Unknown Relic. Visit the bandcamp link to purchase. VERY limited amount available online.

Subsequent releases will include a two-track release featuring a longer version of the Invocation comp track, 'Lost In a Corridor of Sand' plus another piece from the same recording session and a live recording of previous material performed this past May for a short tour with Andrew Hock. This along with some other unreleased material from the 2012 'Glyphs' recording sessions are ideally destined for some limited cassettes.
